  2. 1 cup boiled Green Peas
  3. 1 tsp Salt

  7. 1 small bunch chopped Coriander Leaves
  8. 1 tsp chopped Ginger
  9. 1/8 tsp Asafoetida or Hing
  10. 1 tsp Dry Mango or Amchur powder
  11. 1 tsp crushed Coriander Seeds
  12. 1/4 tsp Garam Masala
  13. PARATHA DOUGH-
  14. 2 cups Wheat Flour or Sharbati Gehun Aata
  15. 1 cup All-purpose Flour or Maida
  16. 1 tsp Salt
  17. 2 tsp Ghee
  18. as needed Water
  19. as needed Extra Ghee

Instructions to make to make Matar Aloo Parathas

  1. Knead a smooth dough with the ingredients listed. Keep it aside for 20 minutes or so. It's important.
  2. Add the mashed and boiled Potatoes to a dish. Also add boiled Green Peas to it. Mash them coarsely too before adding to the bowl.

  5. Heat a tawa or a griddle on medium flame. Place this Aloo Matar Paratha on it. Smear some Ghee or Butter on top and drizzle some on the sides too. Keep the flame on low to medium.
  6. After 2 minutes flip it over and cook for 2 more minutes. In this way make all the Parathas. It requires a bit of patience. Do not hurry. Otherwise they might not cook well or get burnt too.
  7. Serve hot with loads of Butter on top alongside Raita and Pickle. Enjoy! Or with Green Chutney as I served my family. Yum!
