Ingredients and spices that need to be Prepare to make Chole bhature:

  1. For bhatura
  2. 2 cup maida
  3. 2 tbsp semolina
  4. 1 tsp sugar
  5. to taste Salt
  6. 1/4 tsp baking soda
  7. 1/2 cup curd
  8. 2 tbsp oil
  9. as required Water knead for dough
  10. as required Oil for frying
  11. For chole preparing
  12. 1 cup chole overnight soaked
  13. 1 tea bag
  14. as per taste Salt
  15. 3 cup water
  16. 1/2 cup onions paste
  17. 1 cup tomato paste
  18. 1 tsp garlic paste
  19. 1 inch ginger cut in Julien
  20. as per taste Salt
  21. 1 tsp kasmiri lal mirch
  22. 1 tsp coriander powder
  23. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  24. 1 tsp chole masala
  25. 1/4 tsp dry mango powder
  26. 1/4 tsp garam masala
  27. 2 tbsp oil
  28. 1 tbsp ghee
  29. 1 tsp kasuri methi
  30. 2 sliced green chillies
  31. as required Fresh chopped coriander

Steps to make to make Chole bhature

  1. Firstly, in a large bowl take maida, rava,1 tsp sugar, baking soda, sugar,salt oil. mix well.
  2. Now add curd and mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  3. Further, add water as required and knead the dough. Knead to the smooth and soft dough without putting much pressure.
  4. Grease the dough with oil, cover and rest for 2 hours.
  5. After 2 hours, knead the dough slightly. Pinch a ball sized dough and make a ball without any cracks.
  6. Roll slightly thick, applying oil to prevent from sticking.
  7. Drop the rolled dough into the hot oil.
  8. Press until the bhature puffs up and splash oil to puff up fully.
  9. Flip over and fry until it turns golden brown.
  10. Finally, drain off the bhatura and enjoy with chole masala.
  11. Preparing chole
  12. Firstly, in a pressure cooker take soaked chana. I have soaked 1 cup chana in enough water for 8 hours.
  13. Add tea bags,salt and water. soda helps to cook chole well.
  14. Cover and pressure cook for 5 whistles. if you do not have tea bags, then you can prepare tea decoction and add to cooker.
  15. Once the pressure releases, open the cooker and discard the tea bags. keep aside.
  16. Now heat oil add onion paste, garlic paste and Jillian ginger saute until onions turn golden brown.
  17. Add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, aamchur and chole masala and salt.
  18. Saute on low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
  19. Further add tomato paste and saute until the oil separates.
  20. Now add boiled chole and mix well. adjust consistency by adding water if required.
  21. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, or until chole absorbs all the flavour.
  22. To prepare the tempering, heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan.
  23. Add 2 chilli, tsp kasmiri lal mirch powder.
  24. Saute on low flame without burning the spices.
  25. Pour the tempering over the chole masala, add 2 tbsp coriander and mix well.
  26. Finally, chole bhature is ready to enjoy with some salad.
