  4. 1 teaspoon nutmeg powder

  7. 1 teaspoon cardamom powder

  9. 2 cups wheat flour
  10. 1 cup all-purpose flour or maida

Instructions to make to make Puran poli

  1. Wash & Soak chana dal for 5 hours.
  2. While cooking add extra water in dal because we will make curry or katachi amti from it. Pressure. cook dal for 8 to 10 whistles. Separate cooked dal & dal water
  3. Remove all water from dal & smash it with the help of smasher.
  4. Add jaggery & cook together.
  5. First it becomes liquidy then gradually it becomes thick
  6. When it becomes thick add ginger,nutmeg, cardamom powder. Mix properly. Let it be cooled
  7. Make dough of wheat flour, maida, salt & oil
  8. Knead dough & keep for at least one hour.
  9. Our stuffing is ready. Make equal balls.
  10. Make dough bowl shaped. Little thick in middle & thin at the end.
  11. Fill puran means dal & jaggery in bowl shaped dough
  12. Cover properly. Dust some flour & roll slowly
  13. Roast from both sides. Apply oil. Last apply ghee & Serve hot
